Local 636 Backgrounder
-
Many years ago, utility workers in Ontario were represented by separate independent Local Unions while full time management organizations had access to a province-wide communications network.
-
Recognizing the strength in unity, these independent locals joined together to form what is now Local Union 636.
-
Today, Local 636 proudly represents approximately 4000 men and women employed in various types of industry in the public and private sectors from Windsor to Ottawa.
